Sun Valley Lodge provides a full array of assisted living and memory care services intended to keep residents as independent, vibrant, and as safe as possible. These services are provided by Certified Caregivers who are supervised by a Certified Assisted Living Manager.  The assisted living and memory care services are available in our one-bedroom and studio Inn Living apartments.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is included in the Basic Monthly Rate?
Our Assisted Living units includes all utilities (except telephone and Internet service), three meals a day, weekly housekeeping, towel and linen service, complimentary transportation to local medical appointments, a full activity calendar, cable television and 24-hour emergency call system.
What is the pricing for services not included in the Basic Monthly Rate?
Sun Valley Lodge has friendly marketing staff members available by phone Monday through Friday to answer any questions you may have. For those prospects that are local, Sun Valley Lodge encourages you to setup an appointment to tour our beautiful campus and have a delicious meal in our Skylight Dining Room. During the visit, a team member can sit down with you and your family to customize a plan that is directly suited to fit your care needs.
Do you accept my long term care insurance policy?
Yes. Sun Valley Lodge has many residents who have these policies that are paying for their care needs. However, the insurance companies that offer these policies make the final decision if a resident qualifies for coverage or not.
How do I get to my medical appointments?
Simply call or stop by our front desk to schedule a trip on the Sun Valley Lodge bus.
What if I need help throughout night?
Sun Valley Lodge is a 24-hour-a-day working campus. Unlike other Assisted Living settings in the community, Sun Valley Lodge offers Assisted Living Caregivers who are awake and serving residents around the clock.
Can you accommodate my dietary needs?
We employ a dietitian to help ensure that our residents are receiving proper nutrition. Our dietary department follows state guidelines for CCD (diabetic) and NAS (no added salt) diets. And, our staff works with residents to choose the best alternatives for gluten free, lactose intolerant, and other restrictive diets.
Are religious services available?
Yes. We hold nondenominational services every Sunday in our beautiful chapel.  We also have monthly Bible studies and monthly Catholic Communion Services. Holy Communion is provided occasionally for our Catholic residents by visiting Eucharistic Ministers. A Rosary Service is also held twice a month. Other spiritual needs can be arranged by contacting our activities department.
Is there a beauty shop?
Yes. We have a beauty shop in the central section of the Lodge that is open three days a week. In addition to the beauticians, a barber visits monthly.
Can I review your most recent state survey?
Yes.  We post a notice in our Assisted Living public area on where to find the most recent survey results. Or, you can visit the Arizona Department of Health Services website at Survey Search to view online.
How can I get more information on your Parkinson’s Disease Program?

Please see our Parkinson’s Care page for more information or call (623) 933-0137 to request additional details.
