SVL Announces Discover Arizona Lineup

Sun City, Arizona – Tuesday, March 02, 2010 – Sun Valley Lodge announced today that it will again host Discover Arizona. The Discover Arizona series will kick off on Wednesday, March 31st at 10:00 AM with a program entitled “Silver Images on Glass Plates – Early Photography in Arizona, 1850-1920” presented by Dr. Jeremy Rowe of Mesa. The series is made possible through a grant from the Arizona Humanities Council.

Marketing Director Mike Kloberdanz said, “We had a lot of fun with the series last year and are extremely excited to be able to offer this kind of high quality programming to both our residents and the community. Sun Valley Lodge is grateful to the Arizona Humanities Council for their help putting the series together.”

All programs on the following schedule begin at 10:00 AM:

• March 31st, “Silver Images on Glass Plates – Early Photography in Arizona, 1850-1920”
• April 7th, “Geronimo’s Surrender: The 1886 CS Fly Photographs”
• April 14th, “The Harvey Girls of Arizona”
• April 21st, “Adventurous Spirits: Arizona’s Women Artists, 1900-1950”
• April 28th, “The History of the River Runners of the Grand Canyon”
